THE IMPORTANCE OF FQHC's
Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's) such as those operated by One Health Ohio are very important assets to a community because they provide a medical home to the uninsured and underinsured populations, whose numbers have now reached over 45 million.

Across the United States, FQHC's have dramatically decreased the burden of health costs to hospitals, area businesses, and the community through the reduction of unnecessary emergency room visits, shorter lengths of hospital stays, and lower hospital admission rates. Infant mortality rates have also decreased.

In addition to providing quality primary medical and dental care, FQHC’s also offer health education — with a focus on the importance of health prevention. This service also includes counseling on diet, physical activity, smoking, drinking, drug use, and the prevention of STD's.

Our need for resources and capital to provide quality health care for the organization’s growing patient base has become urgent. In fact, over 48,000 office visits were provided this past year to medically needy individuals in the communities we serve.

One Health Ohio is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization providing primary health and dental care to individuals in need, particularly those who are uninsured and underinsured. As such, we are able to accept tax-deductible donations to support our mission to improve the health and well-being of people in our communities.

Unless otherwise specified, all charitable donations are pooled into a fund to increase the caring impact that is afforded by this mission.
